If you’re a people person, unafraid to introduce yourself to others and ask targeted questions, you’ll want to consider this role.
With a genuine feel-good element, the Employer Placement Consultant is a relatively autonomous role within the Occupational Rehabilitation team, where your key focus will be to secure new employer placements via job brokerage and to market APM to key customers.
What makes a great Employer Placement Consultant?
Previous exposure to employment services or business marketing and development will be beneficial, and you will get a buzz from being out and about meeting people, getting to the heart of challenges and understanding individual motivators.
You will be empathetic and able to develop rapport with a wide range of people with a friendly approach, listening and supporting, walking your candidates through potential job opportunities to identify vocational goals, coaching with interview techniques and helping to prepare resumes.
With a good understanding of the labour market, you will be confident to attend networking functions, employer forums, and build relationships with local businesses through professional and engaging communication skills. Outgoing and gregarious, not afraid to present at meetings, you’ll also be capable of negotiating to solve problems and create Win / Win solutions for all.
